Bai Sao beach

Bai Sao beach @ Vietnam Coracle

Bai Sao beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Phu Quoc. This place has a white sand coast that is smooth as cream. The beach is 7km in length and shaped like a half moon. In rush months, Bai Sao beach is filled with tourists, so if you want to enjoy yourself at this beach, you should arrive early to rent a hammock to rest.

Bai Sao beach is situated above Nam Dao, 30km away from Duong Dong town. A word of advice: if you want to go here, rent a taxi or just follow the direction of An Thoi. This road is small but is not dusty. Some trucks use this road but it is still more comfortable than the dirt road (near Bai Truong, it is much faster this way but also more dust).

Bai Khem beach

Bai Khem beach @ Phu Quoc Xanh

Bai Khem beach has not been touched by human too much, the sand here is white and smooth as a powder. A minus point here is there are lots of garbages and leafs around this beach, and the sea is not that clean either. In return, the seafood here is crazy. Main dishes here are grilled fish and raw herring salad with reasonable price. You can visit the Cuc Man restaurant to taste the “Coi Bien Mai” and then relax on a hammock. In Bai Khem, there is also a pearl farming area that is worth the attention.

Bai Khem Beach is in the South Phu Quoc, 25km away from Duong Dong town, 5km away from An Thoi.

Ham Ninh fish village

Ham Ninh village @ Phu Quoc For You

The life here at the village is almost the same as it was in the past, with the house being simply built by bamboo. The main economic activities are diving for pearl, catching holothurian, catching crab. Visiting Ham Ninh in the morning to enjoy the sunset or in the night when the moon shines is the best way to experience Ham Ninh. The specialty here is the sentinel-crabs that was just caught. They will cook them by boiling them. The red, the stiffness of the meat is eaten along with salt pepper and lemon. A wonderful cuisine of Phu Quoc.

Ham Ninh fishing village is on the east coast of the island, about 20km due to the northeast away from Duong Dong town.
